About madenot
What is madenot?
An independent menswear shop registered in Ireland, selling outerwear — jackets, coats and blazers — to customers across the country. The range is deliberately small.
Do you make your own clothes?
No. We are a retailer, not a manufacturer. We select pieces from established manufacturers and sell them; we do not design or produce them.
Where do your products come from?
From manufacturers and suppliers we buy through directly, in Europe and further afield. If you want to know the origin of a particular piece before you order, ask us and we will tell you.
Who runs madenot?
Lee Thomas Devoy. madenot trades as a name of RAD ECOM LIMITED, a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland since 2018 under company number 638589, with its registered office at 72 Castleheath, Malahide, Dublin, K36 KF10.
Sizing and stock
What sizes do you carry?
It varies by piece. Most run S to 3XL, and several go to 5XL or 6XL. The sizes available are shown on each product page.
How do I choose the right size?
Several listings include a measurement table in centimetres, and a few are sized by body weight rather than letter. If you are between sizes or unsure, email us with the piece and your usual size and we will advise before you buy.
Is everything on the site actually in stock?
Yes. We only list what we hold at our warehouse. If something sells out it comes off the site rather than staying up on backorder.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If it hasn't been dispatched, usually yes. Get in touch as soon as you can after ordering.
Delivery
Where does my order ship from?
Our own warehouse at Southern Cross Business Park in Bray, Co. Wicklow. We pick, pack and dispatch every order ourselves — nothing is sent to you by a third party abroad.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days. Standard delivery then takes 3–7 business days after dispatch, so most orders arrive within 4–9 business days from the date you order. You get a tracking link in your dispatch email.
What does delivery cost?
Nothing. Free on every order, no minimum spend, nothing added at checkout.
Do you ship outside Ireland?
Not at the moment. Republic of Ireland only.
My order hasn't arrived.
Check the tracking link in your dispatch email first. If more than 9 business days have passed since you ordered and it still hasn't appeared, email us and we will chase it with the carrier.
Returns and refunds
What is your returns policy?
Under EU consumer law you have 14 days from delivery to change your mind for any reason. On top of that, we give you 60 days from delivery to send something back.
Where do I send a return?
Email us with your order number first, then post the item to:

Who pays for return postage?
You do, except where the item is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered — in those cases we cover it in full. Use a tracked service so you have proof of postage.
What condition does it need to be in?
Unworn, unused, in original condition and with its original packaging.
How long do refunds take?
Within 7 business days of your return arriving and being checked, back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few days more to show it. No restocking fees.
Can I exchange instead?
Yes. Tell us what you would like to swap to when you email, and we will arrange it where stock allows.
Payment and security
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.
When am I charged?
In full when you place the order. All prices are in euro.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments and PayPal over SSL encryption. madenot never sees or stores your full card details.
Can I get a receipt or invoice?
Your order confirmation email is your receipt. If you need anything further for your records, email us and we will send it.
Privacy
Do you record my visit to the site?
We use session analytics to see how people move through the site so we can improve it. It does not capture payment field contents. See our Privacy Policy for what is collected and how to opt out.
